The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Office is warning men to avoid sexual activity when buying their erectile dysfunction medication from the drugstore. A man was charged with buying Viagra from a drugstore, according to the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office.
“We don’t want men who are trying to get an erection to get it out of their partner with drugs,” said Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Office deputy chief of staff John Dabney. “The law has made it very clear that if you are buying Viagra from a drug store, you are buying the drug from a drugstore. So we don’t want men who are trying to get an erection to get it out of their partner with drugs.”
The man was arrested by Los Angeles Police on Friday morning.
The man is listed as being a “pimp” and is in custody.
According to a press release, the man purchased Viagra from a drug store without a prescription and was charged with the sale of a controlled substance.
“We strongly urge men who buy Viagra from a drug store to make sure they know how to take the drug safely,” said Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Office deputy press release officer Jason Lurasis.
The man was charged with “knowing that the prescription for the medication is for an unapproved use.”
“The drugstore is not the only place you’re buying Viagra from. There are other pharmacies that have the same prescription,” said Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Office press release officer Mike Leach.
